About Fun'O'Fable
Fun ‘O’ Fable is a subscription-based platform of highly recommended and award-winning reading books for your kids.
We curate and hand pick books for your children based on their age interest and reading skills. Reading to them is a great nurturing activity and we would want you to focus on the activity by supporting you with the right choice of books. Why go hunting for something you can get at your doorstep?
Frank Serafini says “There is no such thing as a child who hates to read; there are only children who have not found the right book.” This is our motto and the foundation of our Mission and Vision. We live by the very vision of creating The Million Word Gap for you child. One that empowers him / her to take on the world with greater confidence and belief.
We at Fun ’O’ Fable hand pick the best books from across the globe and deliver at your doorstep! Most of the books will not even be available in your traditional books stores as we procure them from international markets. We want children in India to read what the world is reading. Boxes are available for all the age groups between 0 (New Born) -12 years.
A box with paper wrapped package of books will be delivered to you every month. These books will be hand picked for your children based on their age and preference, which you would have filled in the subscription form. The box also comes with a surprise goodie for your child.
Beginner Box includes one book and one goodie, Advance Box includes two books and one goodie and a Sibling Box includes two books and two goodies one for each group.
Fun ‘O’ Fable has been designed for children of 0 (New Born) to 12 years of age.
Yes. With babies under one year old, it is most important that you read out loud to them. Your child’s brain is developing so quickly that speaking around them, to them or for them, helps to progress their language skills.
Reading out loud gives new born children a chance to listen to their favourite sound — your voice. And if you hold them warm and snug in your lap while the two of you share a book, they may just associate happy feelings with reading for the rest of their life.

Subscription
There are three different kinds of subscription boxes:
The Beginner Box (includes one book and one goodie) is priced at Rs. 599 per month.
The Advance Box (includes two books and one goodie) is priced at Rs. 899 per month.
A Sibling Box (includes two books and two goodies one for each sibling) is priced at Rs. 999/month.
You can subscribe boxes for a period of 4 months / 8 months / 12 months as per your choice. <Click here> to subscribe now.
Our subscription fees have to be paid fully in advance for the period of subscription you choose. There are multiple payment options available to you for making the payment. We do not have a Cash on Delivery (COD) as of now.
Yes. This is the Sibling Box that you need to subscribe to. This box comes with two books one for each of your kid. All you need to do is to add the age, gender and the interests of both the kids and we will curate the box and send you two books and two goodie, one for each of your child.
You need to sign-up for the first box which will create your account in our system. Post this, login to the account and on your dashboard, click on “Add a child to the account” button and choose the option to receive a separate box. You can repeat this step as many times as you like. Or if it is a sibling you are buying for, just order the Sibling Box.
We do everything to make the box special for your child. Drop us the special message which you would like us to add and we will send a hand written note from your side. This lets them know that a special gift is heading their way!
No worries! Login into your account and click the order # to get your full order breakdown and also the order fulfilment status.
Contact our customer service team who would be happy to look into your account for you. A refund will be given when needed.
Absolutely! We want our Fun ’O’ Fable boxes to grow with your little one. If you would like to change your box type, please contact us and we’d be happy to make the change. Please inform us at least 7 days before your schedule date of dispatch.
Yes! Although our boxes default to monthly shipments, you can modify your box frequency to the schedule that best fits your family. Simply drop us a mail or a message on WhatsApp and we would be happy to oblige.
We would be glad to put a hold on your account. Contact us and fill out a form so that we know how long is the holding period. Your subsequent box(es) will automatically adjust according to your schedule.
You can drop us a mail or message us on WhatsApp and we will place it on hold for a particular amount of time.
You may cancel a 12 months subscription at any time. Either send us an email or submit a cancellation request from the dashboard of your account. However, there is no cancellation policy for the rest of the subscriptions (4 months and 8 months).
It’s OK to change your mind and you can cancel the 12 months plan any time. We will process your cancellation right away; you will receive a cancellation confirmation in your email. If there is a refund due, we will process that as well. Please note that the bank fees charged by our payment processor are non-refundable. Moreover, we will be charging you the full amount (and not the discounted price) for the processed boxes and refund the remaining amount.
While we hope your child loves to receive deliveries on a regular basis, we understand that sometimes you may want a non-subscription box. If you want to enjoy the Fun’O’Fable experience without having to worry about a subscription or returns, check out our <Gift Boxes or Promotion Boxes>
Fun ‘O’ Fable can curate return gifts for your child’s birthday party as per your budget. Please drop us an email or contact us on WhatsApp and we will provide you with the most thoughtful and productive gifts. We will put together the best combination of books and fun goodies so that your tiny guests can leave with some great memories which will end a lifetime.
Shipment Process
Your first Fun ‘O’ Fable box will arrive within 2 weeks of the signing up date. We dispatch boxes on 10th, 20th and 30th of every month. Based on your signing up date, either the next dispatch date or the one after will become your subscription date for all orders.
For ex: If you have signed up on 3rd of the month, then either 10th or 20th will become your subscription date for the first order. If 20th is your subscription date for the first order, it remains the same for all dispatches till your subscription lasts.
Subscription date is the date when your boxes are shipped out from our end.
We offer international shipping. Please contact us if you would like to get a quote for international addresses.
The shipping charges are included in the subscription charges. You do not have to pay anything additional for shipping within India. Write to us on <contact@funofable.com> for international shipping charges.
We love the idea that a child gets a box of books directly! This is why we address the box to the child. Our boxes are addressed to the child(ren) on the account. If you would like to give us the name of the parent / caregiver we can put their names on the box as well to avoid any confusion with the courier service.
If the box is not delivered to you for any reason and if it is returned to us, we will re-ship the box to you. However, the shipping charges for re-shipment has to be paid by you. To avoid this fee, ensure you have someone to take delivery of the box when it is to arrive. If you have shifted your address or have re-located yourself, please intimate us 7 days prior to your <subscription date> .
Yes! When your box is shipped out from our end, our system generates an email with the tracking code which will be sent to you. You will have an idea from there as to when your box will reach you.
From our side, we will try not to delay.
From your side, if you have not communicated to us about any possible re-location or a change in delivery address.
From the shippers’ side, possibly yes. Please note, shipments may get delayed due to various circumstances and may reach you later than anticipated. Conditions like strike, bundh, lockdown or national holidays can delay the process of shipment. This may not be in our control and all we could request you is to wait for the order to reach you.
Yes, we do offer expedited shipping. There will be a additional shipping charge which you might have to pay for.
Your account dashboard provides you with necessary tools to make all these changes. Please login and click on the Shipping Address button to change the shipping address and Account button to change the billing address.
Curating The Box
Several factors are kept in mind before a book is selected. We look for books from authors who are critically acclaimed around the world. Their books need to be with high quality illustrations, stories, messages and re-readability. We read the book ourselves to ensure the content is age and culturally appropriate. You can relax, knowing all the books included in the package are absolutely kid-friendly books.
We spend a lot of time researching the best books for you! We hand-pick award winning, thought provoking titles – classics, board books, picture books, and chapter books. We generally steer clear of very popular as well as heavily commercialized titles because you may already own them. Plus, there is so much better content out there!

Each box is assigned individually by our associate for every child. We take the child’s age, reading level, and any more information you are able to provide, to assign books. Please fill out our questionnaire located under child’s preferences tab from your account dashboard. You will be able to do this after you sign-up with us. The more information we have, the more customized the boxes can be. We sure would like to know the favourite genres, subjects, books that should be there as well as those that need to be avoided.
We are not running an assembly line and our boxes are compiled with your child in mind. This gives us the flexibility to curate the best possible box based on the information you provide.
We are truly sorry! We would like to make it up to you so please contact us within 24 hours of receiving the shipment with the details and photos of the damaged book(s) attached.
Our system (subscriber management software) is designed so that we can’t assign the same book twice to the same account. However, we’re all humans, and while our software has all the bells and whistles to avoid this, human errors happen. If it does happen, we advise you to return the package to the courier person when we send you the replacement box.
Instead of cancelling your subscription buy a bigger bookshelf! Haha! We’re just kidding. If you do run out of room, hold on to your child’s favourites and either share, have a book exchange, or donate the rest. Don’t deprive your little one of continued quality content.
This is a subscription model and titles are chosen by the team after reviewing the child’s interest and reading skills. Every month the titles change making it a surprise package. Rest be assured that the books will be of high quality in terms of content. You can drop us a feedback after receiving the books so that we can adjust your next boxes accordingly.

Community is a very important word to everyone here at Fun ’O’ Fable. If you receive a book that your child already has, we encourage you to share it with your community. Drop it off at a local charity, your child’s classroom, or even give it to your neighbour! We think this could be a great chance to interact with those around you and help make a small difference for children’s literacy.
